At the start of the thirteenth game of the season, Cal was standing with 6 loses and 6 victories. The game against t
he Air Force would decide it all. With DeSean Jackson and Robert Jordan on the bench for the beginning of the game it was not looking good for the Bear’s last game. Half way through the second quarter the Air Force had a 21-0 lead and Jackson and Jordan were itching to go back out on the field and bring back the game. Released on to the field they brought an energy and motivation to their team members, and started taking back the field. By the end of the quarter it was 28-27 and from there it was the Bear’s game. They finished strong with 42-36 final score, giving them their 6th winning season, the first time the school has seen this since 1952. This was also their first time to go to five consecutive bowl games in the history of the school. Jeff Tedford had taken over a school with a 1-10 season, and given them 6 winning seasons. The bears are working their way up the rankings, not quite to the top twenty five yet. The loss of Jackson will be a hard one, but Tedford will lead the bears on to more victories in the coming season.
